Reflection: End of Semester

This semester just came to an end for me. Unfortunately it was a few days after my last final exam because I was scrambling to finish work that had piled up on me. This semester definitely didn't go how I was hoping it would. Right now, I feel tired, empty, disappointed, and disorganized. I started out confident because I was happy with myself last semester, but I might have been a little overconfident. I'm hoping to take the summer to get ready for next semester. I'm going to have a roommate for the first time and I'm excited. Her name is Rachel and she's one of my really close friends.

This summer is going to be filled with a lot of fun with friends to lift my spirits. I'm not used to feeling like this, so I hope I can shake off this dark cloud soon.

Overall, in regards to this College Writing class, I can say that I really enjoyed it. I never thought that I'd genuinely like a writing class, especially in college. My older brother had told me about a writing class that he had to take and it sounded extremely demanding. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I like to take my time with my writing and I don't do well with page requirements. However, this class included a refreshing sense of freedom that I wasn't expecting. For example, the inclusion of blogs to creatively communicate and express ourselves was amazing. This made it so much easier to learn new writing techniques, especially complicated ones that dealt with rhetoric. I'm hoping I can properly implement what I learned in this class into my future writing assignments.
